Vintage French Salt Glazed Bowl
A large vintage French stoneware bowl crafted of Loire Valley grey clay and glazed iridescent salt glaze all over the exterior. Interior is glazed in a neutral glaze that shows the natural clay color. Made by hand. A beautiful display for fruit, onions, etc.
Manufactured by Gres de Bonny, part of a line of potteries run by the Renault family in the Loire Valley since 1847. When the longest running factory closed their doors, the remaining stock was left untouched until today. Extremely limited supply. Stamped 'Gres de Bonny / Made in France' on the bottom.
NOTE: The salt glaze is a natural process with which causes subtle differences in color and finish. No two pieces are alike, which is part of the charm.
