Vintage French Stoneware Pot Nantais

A vintage French pot Nantais, crafted of Loire Valley clay and fired in the traditional salt glaze, giving the exterior an iridescent finish. This style of pitcher is local to the Loire valley and is said to have been the traditional vessel for Muscadet wine.

NOTE: The salt glaze is a natural process with which causes subtle differences in color and finish. No two pieces are alike, which is part of the charm.
