French Stoneware Serving Bowl
Stoneware serving bowls crafted of Loire Valley clay and fired in the traditional salt glaze, giving the exterior an iridescent finish. The unique bowed shape is both graceful and useful-- it keeps salad contained when tossing and food in when mixing.
Manufactured by the craftsmen at Poterie Renault, a five generation family-run company, which produced exquisite ceramics in the Loire Valley from 1865 until 2016. When the factory closed their doors, the remaining stock was left untouched until today. Extremely limited supply.
NOTE: The salt glaze is a natural process with which causes subtle differences in color and finish. No two pieces are alike, which is part of the charm. These bowls are made by hand which does result in some irregularities. The larger sized bowl has more of a mottled glaze effect.
